The Weber Q 320 has the capacity to cook up to 18 burgers or 36 hot dogs at a time. With this capacity it isn’t the largest grill on the market, but it offers more than enough space to cook food for about 6 people without a problem.
Design
The Q 320 Grill is a sleek black, gray, and taupe color. The lid and body is heavy-duty cast aluminum, while the frame is glass reinforced nylon. The cooking grates themselves are cast-iron with porcelain enamel. The grill sits on a stationary cart that does have wheels on two of the legs so you can move it about if needed. The propane tank locks in place under the grill, and there is a plastic front screen which hides the tank from view.
For user convenience there are two fold-down plastic tables on either side of the grill. These tables have tool hooks which offer a handy resting place for your tongs and grill brush while you are cooking. If you are short on space you can choose not to use the tables and simply leave them folded down.
This grill is well-liked because of the amount of cooking space it offers for its compact size. There is both a large grill plate and a warming rack which sits above the main grill. The lid is raised to enable you to fit larger items like a rotisserie chicken without a problem. Underneath the grill grates is a disposable drip pan which will likely need to be changed several times over the course of a few months.
This grill contains two burners, one on the outside ring and one on the inside. Ignition is easy with a simple igniter button. The outside button automatically ignites the inner burner, and the temperature of each burner can then be controlled individually by knobs located on the front of the grill.
This grill heats up very quickly and is able to reach very hot temperatures without a problem, even if it is freezing outside. There is a thermometer on the lid so you can easily tell how hot the grill is, a useful tool when you are waiting for the grill to preheat.
One of the clever design features of the Q 320 is the light on the lid handle. The light is run by a sensor which will automatically turn the light on when the lid is open and turn the light off when the lid is shut. There is also a button that turns this sensor off so the light won’t turn on in the daytime. This light is extremely handy when it is dusk or dark and you otherwise would be unable to see the food on the grill in front of you.
